The company went through an economic crisis and had to severely reduce the sales team.

ISSUES AND IMPLICATIONS

The follow-up of prospects and inactive customers from the last two Maison et Objet fairs could not be carried out due to a lack of staff.

The company did not have the possibility of hiring as a result of the social plans carried out.

 

The increase in turnover was essential for the survival of the production tool in France.

SOLUTIONS

  • Setting up of an outsourced export department on a time-sharing basis

  • Recruitment of two trainees specialized in International Trade for the first six months, including one of Russian nationality in order to carry out ourselves the missions of prospection of this market.

  • Supervision of human resources by the outsourced export manager

RESULTS &
outcome

  • Follow-up of inactive customers until orders are received

  • Promotion of new products to prospective customers until orders are taken.

  • Invitation of clients and prospects to the Maison et Objet trade fair

  • Travel to Russia, South America and all the main European countries to set up a network of agents, promote the products to interior designers and sell them in specialist stores.

  • Increase in turnover from 2,500,000 to 3,000,000 in the first year of support.

  • Hiring of an intern as an export sales assistant at the end of the internship
